How Working Class Started

In 2025, the founders noticed something that anyone who has lived in Coimbatore already knows: the city runs on skilled workers. Electricians keeping apartment blocks lit, plumbers fixing leaks before monsoon, carpenters finishing interiors in new housing developments. The work is constant. The demand is real. But there was no organized way to find these people.

The available options were word-of-mouth referrals that depended on who you happened to know, social media groups where nobody was verified, and contractors who might show up on time or might not. There was no platform, no price transparency, no accountability — just hope that the next person through the door would do a decent job.

Working Class was built to change that. The model was straightforward from the start: verify the professionals, publish fair prices, and let customers book in under a minute. No hidden fees, no negotiation, no uncertainty about who's coming.

The platform launched with Coimbatore's most-requested services — electrical work, plumbing, and home cleaning — and grew to cover 40+ services across home repair, maintenance, transport, and professional services. Every professional on the platform has been through identity and background checks before their first booking.
